  • Preferred location is local to North Sydney. However, consideration would be given to interstate if located in capital cities with the right cultural fit.
  • Practice income sought is $350K to $1million per annum.
  • Open to valuations based on ongoing revenue or EBITDA multiples.
  • The multiple would be dependant on the makeup of books and alignment to key selection criteria.
  • Desired income would be comprised of fee for service clients, but they are open to commission based books.
  • Open to accumulators and/or retirees type books. No specific preference as the acquirer can add value to clients in both phases across their wide value proposition and intergenerational wealth initiatives.
  • Finance is approved and ready to be allotted to suitable acquisitions
  • Aligned with national dealer group.

The acquirer:

  • Is a comprehensive wealth management practice providing advice to individuals, families and businesses for over 40 years in North Sydney NSW.
  • Has In-house advice propositions that includes cashflow, debt, superannuation, retirement, insurance, investment/gearing and aged care.
  • Has a Trusted Partner Service which involves referring clients to quality, long term referral partners in accounting, estate planning, conveyancing and property procurement through a buyer’s agent.
  • Has 17 staff locally, including 7 advisers and 1 mortgage broker, plus 5 staff offshore. Average staff tenure is 6 years.
  • Clients are predominately white collar, PAYG professionals and their families. Average client tenure is 12.6 years
  • Has a 4.5 compliance star rating, demonstrating the quality of their advice and the credibility of their advisers.
  • Runs a solid investment philosophy, drenched in governance and anchored in active and passive SMAs
  • Advice is generally placed within HUB24 or North platforms.
  • We are less inclined to hire employees along with the acquisition, unless the employee was of an impressive calibre.
