Hi, here is a link to a paper recommending a path forward over the next 6 months for the Advice community leading into the Federal Election
https://www.aiofp.net.au/2024/08/05/its-time/
It also addresses why the AIOFP will call out controversial issues while others prefer to sit on the fence. This is also timely as ASIC have sent out the CSLR/DIXON invoice to some members today, please do not pay it yet, we are checking on some related issues.
We have adopted the classic 1972 GOUGH WHITLAM pathway of IT’S TIME slogan to mobilise the potential political strength of the Advice community [without of course the ALP connotations!].
Also included is a draft of a letter to your clients asking them to approach their local sitting member of federal Parliament and draft of a letter from your client to the Politician. Members are reporting plenty of different ‘pro forma’ responses from local ALP Politicians which is encouraging, they are getting worried.
The formal details on the Canberra Conference [November 25 – 27th] will be out shortly.
We will get back to you shortly.
Regards.
